We went to the Capitol today. It was really fun. We had to wear these headphones. There was a microphone thing that our guide talked into so we could hear him in the headphones. We went into the first room with statues. A president was taken in there after he died in a coffin and they had a service there. There was a dome and it was really cool.
We went through a tunnel to the Library of Congress. I had fun and we saw some cool stuff in the library. We saw a really cool piece of gold from pirates’ ships. We also saw the Lincoln Memorial and it had a statue of Abraham Lincoln.
The Memorial was really tall. I was counting our steps up and it got up to 100.
