Today, we headed just down the road to la Fôret de Cerisy (Cerisy forest) to hike. We took one of the trailheads and headed into the woods.
The trees got taller and taller and there were ferns everywhere.
After our hike, we drove to the town of Bayeux to see the famous 11th century tapestry. It is 70 meters long (about 230 feet) and tells the story of William the Conqueror and the Norman invasion of England. It was really cool, but no photography was allowed, so you’ll have to take our word for it. After the tapestry, we walked to the cathedral.
Hayden loves cathedrals so much, he decided to bust some moves....
We headed back to our house and hiked around the trail right outside our door.
Expelliarmus!
Tomorrow, we are going to see Le Mont Saint Michel. It’s one of the things we’ve really been looking forward to. Can’t wait!
