Istanbul, Turkey - Day #1

When we docked in Istanbul, the first place we went was the Hagia Sofya, which was a church, then in about 1650 was converted into a mosque, then in the 1920s converted into a museum, which is how it is today.

Then, we went to the Blue Mosque, which has six minarets, which are like towers, that are about 250 feet tall.

Then, we went to the Hippodrome, which was a chariot racing arena, but over 3000 years passed, and all that is left is a 5000- year- old Egyptian obelisk marked with hieroglyphics.
